Rodolfo Pinon Scholarship Program
Rodolfo Piñon was a steadfast advocate for the unincorporated communities of the Eastern Coachella Valley. His life embodied service, perseverance, and empowerment, inspiring generations to pursue education and equity. Through his tireless dedication, Rodolfo amplified the voices of families in the Eastern Coachella Valley and built bridges across communities to ensure that opportunity reached every corner. The Rodolfo Piñon Scholarship at Pueblo Unido CDC honors his legacy by supporting Eastern Coachella Valley students who carry on his resilience, action, and community-driven leadership.
Scholarship Award: $1,500

Who May Apply
- High School Senior or Student at Trade School or College/University, and
- Resident or native of the Eastern Coachella Valley (92274 or 92254 zip code)
Required at Scholarship interview:
- Proof of acceptance/attendance at a Trade School or College/University
- Trade school or College/University financial aid offer letter
- FAFSA showing Expected Family Contribution
- Academic Transcript (High School or College/University; there is no minimum GPA requirement)
- List of Extracurricular Activities and/or Civic Engagement with length of time in each
**NOTE: If you have a Senior portfolio that includes the above, we will accept the portfolio.

- The application may be completed in English or Spanish
- For the Essay required on the application, pleas answer the questions below (500 –750 word limit). You may submit a Video rather than the written Essay, but not in addition to the Essay.
