There are four key areas described below where donors can provide contributions which are structured and in alignment with the organization’s priorities. They are essential to effectively respond to community’s need and ensure long-term sustainability.

Core Operation

The core operating is an essential function that supports the organization’s staff salaries, and benefits; and ensure long-term organizational sustainability. Pueblo Unido CDC’s enjoys a team of dedicated and committed individuals with the majority having roots in the eastern Coachella Valley. The staff has the support from the board of directors which 50% of the membership is represented by farmworker families with background in education and financing. This professional environment validates the organizational fiscal responsibility, and transparency while focusing on the priorities established by the community-driven model.

Rodolfo Pinon Scholarship Program

Rodolfo Pinon was a co-founder of Pueblo Unido CDC with profound commitment to social justice and leadership in our rural communities. His dedication and relentless community work are a true testimony of his legacy. Under his name, the scholarship includes a leadership development workshop, the first program ever establishes in the eastern Coachella Valley. Under this portfolio, Pueblo Unido CDC provides a matching grant; training, and education; to help students with their pursue of higher education and leadership skills correspondingly.

Michael Rosenfeld Annual Fundraising

The Michael Rosenfeld Children’s Development Fund is a formal dinner in memory of Michael Rosenfeld. Through his career as an educator, Mr. Rosenfeld dedicated his life to help and support the families in the ECV. The annual dinner, scheduled the 3rd Friday of November, before Thanksgiving Day. During the event, Pueblo Unido highlight and showcase the latest community projects and achievements that have impacted the health and safety of families and their children. Since the beginning of the event in 2012, Pueblo Unido has taken the initiative to recognize a community leader through our “Luz del Pueblo Award” as part of our leadership development program. The dinner concludes with a silent auction.

Rural Community Investment Fund

Rural Community Investment Fund(RCIF) RCIF is a low-interest micro-revolving loan program that helps families with code compliance issues, and on-site capital improvement projects. The fund also helps with pre-development and planning; accelerate the implementation of urgent community projects in the core areas: infrastructure, affordable housing and economic development; and attract additional financial resources to improving the quality of life in farmworker families.
