The center is the first of its kind available to the vicinity and will provide access to educational activities including after school programs, health and nutrition, parenting classes, vocational training, and community organizing for neighborhood revitalization. Additionally, the center will attract other major resources to address the main issues identified by the community: lack of infrastructure (sewer and water), environmental health and economic development opportunities.

The project is a model of collaboration between community leaders, San Jose Community & Bea Main Learning Center and Pueblo Unido CDC.  Additional support for the project includes the outstanding work of volunteers, and pro-bono services by professionals with profound understanding of the needs for community services and support to the vicinity.
